Stan Laferrière, "chanteur, pianiste, guitariste, batteur, arrangeur, compositeur, le fils de son père posséde bien plus qu'un nom connu dans le jazz : le talent" (Jazz à Paris). Il a joué, enregistré ou écrit des orchestrations pour des musiciens d'univers très différents : Benny Carter, Monty Alexander, Phil Woods, Johnny Griffin, Michel Legrand ... Stan a participé à plus de 100 disques et a été récompensé à 7 reprises par l'Académie du Jazz et 1 fois par les Django d'Or.
