Janina & The Cool Cats

Janina & the Cool Cats is a jazz quintet born of the encounter between Janina, a Romanian singer living in Paris, and Charles Fevret, a pianist with a subtle and expressive style. Seven years ago, their musical complicity gave birth to a project combining original compositions and elegant covers of the great jazz standards. They are joined by a saxophonist/clarinettist, a double bassist and a drummer, with whom they create a sound universe that is both classical and personal, resonating with jazz legends as well as Eastern European influences. Based in Paris, the group has performed at a number of venues in the capital and is beginning to make a name for itself at the leading festivals in France, winning over audiences with its elegant arrangements and the close-knit partnership of its musicians.
