Bringing together Delphine Deau, pianist and leader of the Nefertiti quartet, and Julien Soro, saxophonist with the ONJ and leader of the Players trio, The Other Side of Water is an exploration ground for improvisation and composition, in the singular intimacy of the piano-saxophone duo. Observing what exists “on the other side of the water” also means crossing an inner boundary, turning our playing habits upside down and inventing new exchanges through sound. Letting silences resonate, listening to reflections, echoing gestures to sculpt a shared rhythm.
