Carte Blanche To Enzo Carniel

First duo of the carte blanche: Enzo Carniel reunites with alto saxophonist Ludovic Ernault, his companion for over 10 years.

On the program: a repertoire combining revisited standards and original compositions, inspired by the poetic universe of Lee Konitz, Charlie Haden and Jimmy Giuffre.

Enzo Carniel, jazz pianist born in 1987, trained at the CNSM in Paris after studying medicine, winning several awards including the soloist prize at Porquerolles. He founded the House of Echo quartet, blending jazz, improvisation and electronic influences, with several acclaimed albums. His music draws on both jazz tradition and contemporary experimentation. He co-directs the NO(w) Beauty project, named “French Group of the Year” by the editors of Jazz Magazine and Jazz News in 2023. Alongside his career as a musician, he teaches at the Conservatoire de Montreuil and the PSPBB.
