A circle opens up, eyes meet, smiles are exchanged. It's an invitation to come together, to vibrate to the rhythm of a profoundly human music: partido-alto. Born in the working-class districts of Rio, this joyful, rhythmic and imporivised style of samba celebrates the spoken word, collective play and the strength of bonds. Here, music isn't just played - it's shared, passed on and brought together. No need to be a musician or connoisseur: come and listen, feel, sing, live!
Leading this musical journey is Adriano DD Tenorio, master percussionist and charismatic leader, who lays the rhythmic foundations with raw, sensitive energy. At his side, Matheus Donato, virtuoso on cavaquinho and guitar, weaves delicate melodies that dialogue with the warm vocals of Roberto Moreno, also on cavaquinho, whose voice invites celebration and complicity.
Kayode's pandeiro adds a lively pulse, while Manadro makes the repique de mão resonate with finesse and precision. Finally, the deep, enveloping bass of the surdo, played by Boca Rum, gives the ensemble that inescapable foundation, that beat of the samba heart that makes bodies and souls dance.
