Emerging young musicians on the French jazz scene, Nina Gat and Ananda Brandão form Ninanda, a vibrant, gentle, and modern musical universe. The project is the winner of the ReZZo Jazz springboard in Vienne 2024 as well as the René Urtreger Prize from ECUJE 2024.
Having met while studying together at the CMDL, Nina and Ananda now play in various projects, both together and separately. The duo complement each other gracefully and effortlessly, sharing many common influences and a strong human bond. At the heart of the project, their two voices unite in a single timbre with precision.

Accompanied by Mathieu Scala on double bass and Maxime Boyer on guitar, the group presents a repertoire of original compositions in Portuguese, Hebrew, French, and English, inspired in particular by Simon & Garfunkel, Milton Nascimento, and Aaron Parks.

“At the unexplored crossroads of the most modern instrumental jazz and ethereal vocal arrangements with dreamlike folk accents, Ninanda has found a sound unlike any other, evoking with magical force a new world of cultural fusion.” Jazz à Vienne

“A beautiful bet on the future.” Alex Dutilh
