Gilliam Sayad Quartet

Founded at the CMDL by pianist and composer Gilliam Sayad, this group crosses and blends genres, moving from jazz to classical music and film scores. Rich harmonies and lyrical melodies are the order of the day. The four musicians navigate spontaneous interplay to create timeless moments.

Driven by a genuine desire to pass on and defend jazz and improvised music, musicians Didier Lockwood, Benoît Sourisse, André Charlier, and director Chantal Charlier created this higher education institution in 2000, with the aim of supporting young musicians in their professional development and enabling professionals already working in the field to advance their careers.
