Margot Boudali is a jack of all trades: she teaches, writes, composes, and sings with boundless hope in the power of words, art, and jazz. This intimate duo format allows her to express her playful personality, her tender view of the world, and her romantic temperament: each piece, whether a jazz standard, a Brazilian gem, or a personal composition, becomes a showcase for a desire, a truth, or an experience.
She is accompanied by the talented Shimon Gambourg on electric bass and double bass.
As part of the JAZZ SUR SEINE Festival 2025.
Velours, velours - A kind of cabaret
Every Saturday afternoon, 38Riv transforms itself into a Havana piano bar, a hushed Harlem club or a forgotten Broadway stage. It's not just a concert: it's a lively, theatrical plunge into the golden age of jazz and musical comedy.
Imagine a vibrant tribute to the voices of Billie Holiday, Judy Garland, Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong. A timeless interlude between the pages of a Fitzgerald novel and the backstage of a New York cabaret, where people sing, tell stories, play and laugh.
‘Velours, velours’ is the elegance of a bygone era, the warmth of a shared moment, and the emotion of a story told through music.
