A quartet as a manifesto: free, vibrant, and profoundly collective music.

Born from a post-lockdown encounter between pianist Pierre de Bethmann (named Artist of the Year at the 2024 Victoires du Jazz) and Antoine Paganotti, later joined by Simon Tailleu and David El Malek, this group made a strong impression from their very first concerts. Together, they craft an original repertoire with shifting forms, winding melodies, and teeming rhythms.

Two albums were recorded in 2023 at Studio Ferber, featuring an entirely new repertoire — composed of more or less expected structures, more or less tameable melodic lines, and harmonies and rhythms of varying complexity… all in the spirit of continuous play.

Their jazz, rooted in a vibrant tradition, celebrates the momentum of the present and opens up new horizons. An intense and inventive musical experience, best lived in the moment.
