Don't miss the exceptional solo concert by Daniel Garcia, pianist, with Lisa Murcia 5tet (winner of the 2025 René Urtreger Prize) in the first half.
Daniel Garcia has become one of the most original and influential voices of the new generation of Spanish jazz. A finalist in 2024 in the “European Musician of the Year” category by the Académie du Jazz, the Salamanca native has already recorded five albums to his name, including three with his Trio on the prestigious German label ACT. Daniel delves into the Iberian Peninsula and combines his influences with the most contemporary jazz language, while also drawing on classical, pop, and Caribbean music. The result is expressive and playful music that is deeply Spanish, combining rhythmic intensity with great beauty.
Exporting his music to numerous international venues such as the Berlin Philharmonic, the Athens Jazz Festival, Ronnie Scott's in London and the Blue Note Place in Japan, Daniel García has also just given around thirty highly acclaimed concerts in France.
