Franco-Ivorian saxophonist with a singular journey mixing jazz and philosophy, Samy Thiébault has been essential for two decades as one of the major voices of French jazz.Nourished by creolization, classical music, spiritualities and travel, he builds an ambitious work, between introspection and opening to the world ("Caribbean Stories", "Symphonic Tales", "Awé!").His latest project, "In Waves", explores a more acoustic, poetic and committed dimension around the ocean.Praised by criticism (TSF, Jazz News, Télérama…), he plays on the big stages around the world.Winner of the France Musique/Sacem 2023 prize, he is also a teacher and composer for dance, cinema and theater.

Since 2022, the 38riv has opened its doors to artists in search of freedom.Four evenings, the same scene offered to creativity, where emerging and confirmed weave unpublished stories together.
