Saxophonist Antoine Karacostas has released two albums with his trio, Trails in 2017 and Insular Tales in 2019, featuring a repertoire of arrangements of traditional Greek songs and rebetiko, as well as his own compositions. A unique blend of heady lyricism that has defined the sound of the group, founded in 2014.
With “Frames,” released in 2023, Antoine Karacostas delivers a third album of compositions and arrangements of rebetiko, the group's signature sound. In this quartet opus, he draws inspiration from painting and pictorial impressionism as much as from music. A new album is planned for 2026.
