Every Sunday and Monday, la Rhumerie brings you together for a jazz evening with Alex Swing Events, thus reviving the tradition of St Germain des prés during the fifties, and offers a selection of rums and West Indian cuisine (surcharge + € 1 per order on concert days).
Come discover a vibrant tribute to the Great American Songbook, a journey through the history of swing, where each note celebrates the legacy of American composers and the great crooners who sang their works. For this show and the album that gave birth to it, Romain has tried to bring his personal interpretation to these timeless standards by surrounding himself with a solid team whose creativity and talent sublimate each piece. More than just a simple record, it is a declaration of love to the earliest forms of jazz, those that resound from the streets of New Orleans to the bustling arteries of Broadway...
To deliver a colorful repertoire, she's surrounded herself with the best of the best, with Méli Mélus on bass and Yoorim Won on flute, two musicians as brilliant as they are talented, who share a vivid style of playing and a taste for improvisation. Together, they'll also offer a few covers revisited in their own way...
David Grebil: drums
Edouard Pennes: double bass
Amaury Faye: piano
