Every Sunday and Monday, la Rhumerie brings you together for a jazz evening with Alex Swing Events, thus reviving the tradition of St Germain des prés during the fifties, and offers a selection of rums and West Indian cuisine (surcharge + € 1 per order on concert days).
Recognized as one of the trumpet players of his generation, Fabien Mary is a key figure in French jazz. He is also a composer and arranger, as evidenced by his octet album "Left Arm Blues" and, more recently, the albums "Too Short" and "Reload," written for the Vintage Orchestra.
A precise and inspired improviser, he is most often found leading a quartet, a perfect formula for showcasing his talents as a soloist, through a repertoire combining compositions by musicians such as Joe Henderson, Cedar Walton, Freddie Hubbard, and Kenny Dorham, with references to the Great American Songbook.
Kim Baiunco: Double Bass
Stéphane Chandelier: Drums
Clément Trimouille: Guitar
