Every Sunday and Monday, la Rhumerie brings you together for a jazz evening that revives the tradition of St Germain des prés during the fifties, and offers a selection of rums and West Indian cuisine (surcharge + € 1 per order on concert days).
Marie Livingstone is one of the promising voices of the Parisian jazz scene. After a resolutely eclectic musical career, from lyrical singing to contemporary music, including gospel choirs and hip-hop dance, it is finally in jazz that she finds the ideal alliance between freedom and demand, improvisation and tradition. She has since performed in Parisian jazz clubs and offers a generous and embodied interpretation of the great standards, with a sense of phrasing and swing that is inspired by the greatest (Peggy Lee, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Nat King Cole, etc.). Surrounded for the occasion by Max Teakle on piano, Leigh Barker on double bass and Germain Cornet on drums, she pays tribute to the great Christmas jazz standards, for an evening under the sign of swing and good humor
