Ola Tunji

Brought together by saxophonist Ornella Noulet and their shared passion for the music of John Coltrane, this Brussels-based quartet takes its name from Ola Tunji, the African percussionist from New York who made his mark on the New Thing movement of the 1960s. Winners of the 2025 springboard competitions at the Avignon and Ghent jazz festivals, the quartet presents the repertoire from their critically acclaimed first EP, as well as excerpts from a future album to be released in 2026 on the Belgian label WERF.
