| Compositions, new album

Chosen by the Fresh Sound New Talent label for his new album “Essais pour l'imaginaire vol. 2” (due for release on October 17), Jérémie Lucchese, tenor saxophonist, composer, and graduate of the Paris Conservatory, continues to make a name for himself. He performs at numerous venues and festivals, including Jazz à la Villette, Jazz sur Seine, and the Saint-Omer Jazz Festival. He recently won several awards with his quintet, including the 2024 René Urtreger Special Prize and first prize from the jury at the 2024 Jazz Salé springboard.
Chris Cheek describes him as “an accomplished saxophonist whose music is full of enthusiasm and wonder. A sustained, modern, full-bodied tenor sound with a deep and authentic sensitivity. Incredible ease across the entire range of the instrument.”
An active member of the Paris and Toulouse jazz scenes, Jérémie Lucchese participates in numerous projects, notably the Mamie Sanglier trio, his duo with pianist Levi Harvey Tadem, and the folk jazz quartet Salmon Saumon.
