Jerome Sabbagh Quartet / French Quarter 2026

French-New York saxophonist Jerome Sabbagh combines jazz tradition and eclectic modernity with a style deeply rooted in melody. His quartet, which has been together for 20 years, has developed a unique sound thanks to the excellence of its musicians: Ben Monder on guitar, Joe Martin on double bass, and Nasheet Waits on drums.Since his debut in Paris and his move to New York in 1995, Sabbagh has favored lyricism and precision of phrasing, blending pop/rock atmospheres and improvisation. With twelve albums as leader and prestigious collaborations (Paul Motian, Kenny Barron, Chris Potter, etc.), he has established himself as a major figure in contemporary jazz. His new album, Stand Up!, his first with Nasheet Waits, features his new compositions and marks a turning point for the analog label he created, Analog Tone Factory.
