Hard Bop & Beer Therapy Invite Alexis Avakian
Moïra invites us to continue the treatment!
HARD BOP & BEER THERAPY, a home remedy for gloominess and probably the only clinic where you can get a pint.
This week Moïra welcomes ALEXIS AVAKIAN!!!
Alexis Avakian, a French-Armenian saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist born in Marseille in 1978, trained in jazz from an early age and won a gold medal at the conservatory in 2003. Based in Paris since 2006, he plays alongside many figures from the French jazz scene. Influenced by Coltrane, Dexter Gordon, and Bergonzi, he founded a notable quartet whose first album, Digging Chami, was named a Révélation Jazz Magazine. He followed this with Hi Dream, acclaimed by critics and inspired by his Armenian roots, then Miasin, released in 2019.
Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
