| Album "Poems Never End"
"There is no time for poetry, poetry is all the time. From the moment we are alive, there is poetry."
And precisely, he turned the prose of life into a whole album: "Poems Never End." An album almost caught on the fly during a tour in New York last year. After a first concert with this New York rhythm section, consisting of Joe Martin on double bass and Jongkuk Kim on drums, Tony Tixier made a few phone calls, scheduled a session for the next day, and there it was. The record was born. And as things move fast in New York, some special guests dropped by and laid down a few notes, like the legendary Mino Cinelu.
Tonight, we are lucky, Tony Tixier is in Paris to present this new repertoire on the stage of 38Riv. Due to the Atlantic Ocean, it's a French team that will be by his side. Joachim Govin on double bass, who was already present on Tony's first album over fifteen years ago, and drummer Pierre-Eden Guilbaud. Apparently, there are also a few surprises planned...
Pierre-Eden Guilbaud: drums
Tony Tixier: piano, compositions
