Judith Owen And Her Gentlemen Callers

In 2022, the Welsh-American singer Judith recorded her thirteenth album with musicians from New Orleans, paying tribute to the female singers who inspired her and whom she discovered as a child listening to records from her father's collection. She covered songs by singers from the 1940s and 50s such as Pearl Bailey, Dinah Washington, Peggy Lee, Julie London, and Blossom Dearie. She then toured Europe with these musicians, whom she calls her Gentlemen Callers, and released a live album recorded at Marian's JazzRoom in Bern, Switzerland, entitled Come Alive.
