Ava Alami is an Iranian-born jazz singer and composer based in Italy, renowned for her ability to blend Persian influences, contemporary jazz, and original compositions. She studied classical piano and then jazz singing with honors at the Conservatory of Frosinone and has performed on many major stages, notably winning the 2024 Isio Saba Prize for creativity and innovation in jazz with her duo project Candy Cane Snail.
Ava Alami's quintet creates a musical journey in which the voice dialogues with the delicate lines of the trumpet, carried by a piano-double bass-drums trio with subtle nuances. The music unfolds between intimacy and improvisation, allowing influences from elsewhere to surface, alternating between suspended silences and freer impulses, in a subtle universe designed for attentive listening and the intimacy of the club.
Hermon Mehari / trumpet
Vittorio Esposito / piano
Luca Fattorini / double bass
Pierre-Eden Guilbaud / drums
