Mathias Lévy Trio

Every Tuesday from 8pm to 11pm, Chez Georges hosts a varied and high-quality program, ranging from gypsy swing to klezmer, Balkan folk music and much more! In the basement, a concert cellar welcomes you in an intimate and captivating atmosphere.

The trio of Mathias Lévy (violin) with Sébastien Giniaux (guitar, cello) and Jean-Philippe Viret (double bass) was formed in 2016 for the album "Revisiting Grappelli," followed by "Unis Vers" in 2018. Both projects were recorded at the Philharmonie de Paris featuring Stéphane Grappelli's violin and were unanimously acclaimed by critics and audiences alike. Nearly 10 years and hundreds of concerts later, these three masters of their instruments continue to revisit the legacy of French jazz with a rare synergy and creativity.
