Led by saxophonist and composer Maceo Le Fournis, the project is part of a modern, free, and resolutely melodic electric jazz movement. At 26, Maceo has developed a musical style marked by the Californian and African-American aesthetics of the 1980s, somewhere between the legacy of jazz fusion, precise composition, and open spaces for improvisation. The central idea of the project is groove and group sound: lively, energetic music designed for live performance, where strong themes serve as a starting point for spontaneous exchanges. The author of two singles, David (feat. Hadrien Féraud) and Shine, Maceo regularly collaborates with major figures in jazz and fusion such as Gary Novak, Mokhtar Samba, Yoann Schmidt, and Hadrien Féraud, gradually establishing a personal and contemporary universe.
On stage, the project takes shape with Alexandre Bilé on bass, Julien Roger on drums, Noé Chantraine on keyboards, and Fabrice Le Fournis on guitar, a solid and close-knit line-up that gives the music its collective and organic dimension.
