Leonardo Montana and Wajdi Riahi are building a sensitive bridge between the French and Belgian jazz scenes. Throughout various festivals, they have often crossed paths backstage, accomplices in different projects, without ever sharing the same stage. From these encounters arose a sincere relationship, nurtured by mutual respect and humanity, where music is just a natural extension of the bond that unites them. For the first time, the two pianists will merge their universes around a single piano, four hands, offering a repertoire blending their own compositions and reimagined standards. A moment of play, dialogue, and freedom, where notes become a playground for adventure and sharing.

The Jazz Station (Brussels) at 38Riv
Franco-Belgian Encounters

On the occasion of its 20th anniversary, the Jazz Station, a true home of Brussels jazz nestled in a former train station, sets up in Paris for a week. 38Riv gives them carte blanche, symbolizing a rich and vibrant Franco-Belgian artistic encounter. Concerts, discoveries, exchanges: the event promises to highlight the diversity and energy of the current Belgian jazz scene.
More than just a club, Jazz Station is a place in constant motion where music breaks down barriers, reinvents itself, and is shared with all audiences. This collaboration is just one step in an ongoing dialogue: in 2028, 38Riv will come to Brussels to celebrate its 20th anniversary. Together, they celebrate a musical friendship where jazz remains, more than ever, alive and unifying.
