A new modern jazz singer, with a touch of black and white. As a child, when he visited his grandfather, his grandfather would play the jazz standard "Cheek to Cheek" on his record player. It seems to have stayed with him, because two decades later, he made it one of the signature songs in his repertoire.
Alongside his saxophone studies, he trained in sacred music choral singing as a tenor in Levallois-Perret, the town where he still lives.
He wrote songs which he tested in bars around Paris.
The musicians who accompanied him in these venues introduced him to jazz and its language.
It was love at first sight.
In a crooner style, he began performing frequently and organized weekly jazz jam sessions for several years.
His reputation as a Parisian entertainer led to a 2012 album, a live recording of one of his concerts at Le Petit Journal Montparnasse.
In 2017, David began learning Gypsy jazz guitar at the Swing Romane Academy, where he later taught singing.
Since 2020, he has performed at various festivals in France and abroad.
