A talented pianist of Russian origin, whose native language she still speaks, Olinka Mitroshina was born in Latvia. She studied classical piano there before moving to France in 1999 (and has lived in Paris since 2012). Following this long period of study, which earned her an official diploma, she "sold" her soul to the Blues.
