Bambara Trio

Games without limits. A guitarist on the Paris scene since 2004, Yoann Kempst has performed with big names in jazz, world music, electro, and pop rock—Aziz Sahmaoui University of Gnawa, Oumou Sangaré, Christophe Mae, Zaz, Kellylee Evans, United Guitars, Alpha Blondy, and more. At the same time, he has released three solo albums (Palimpseste 2008, Taming the Animal 2017, and Django Reloaded 2026) in which he gives free rein to his adventurous compositional style, at the crossroads of several cultures, jazz, world music, and rock. With Bambara, Yoann offers a new electric and vocal fusion project highlighting sub-Saharan rhythms, Gnawa litanies, and Hendrixian trance. The trio is composed of Joris Seguin on drums and Nicolas Bauer on bass.
