Bettina Martinez Trio

Bettina Martinez, a young pianist on the Paris jazz scene, is already establishing herself as a promising figure on the piano. At just 19 years old, her talent has been recognised by her inclusion in the Orchestre National de Jazz des Jeunes, a consecration that testifies to her artistic maturity and creativity.

For this concert, she is joined by two brilliant collaborators: Julien Rech on double bass and Jonas Charles on drums. Together, they form a trio representing the new generation of jazz, where precision, harmony and improvisation come together.

Their personal and demanding repertoire combines original compositions and reinterpretations of standards, carried by a contemporary aesthetic. Winners of the Léopold Bellan International Competition in 2025, the trio draws its inspiration from the legacy of Chick Corea and Tigran Hamasyan, while asserting its own identity, between sound research and respect for tradition.

On stage, the trio offers a performance that is both virtuosic and accessible, where their music, rooted in modern jazz, seduces with its balance between structure and freedom, between homage and innovation.
