Isaias Alves Quintet

An exceptional concert tonight in tribute to one of the greatest geniuses of Brazilian music: HERMETO PASCOAL by Brazilian drummer Isaías Alves. Driven by a strong artistic vision, the project highlights the excellence of Isaías's interpretation, whose rhythmic mastery, musical sensitivity, and expressive depth give a new dimension to Hermeto's universe. With pianist Léo Montana, who impresses with his delicate touch, rich harmonic vocabulary, and remarkable ability to navigate between sophisticated composition and improvisation, Amina Mezaache on flute, renowned for the richness of her expression between jazz and world music, saxophonist Benoit Crauste, appreciated for his lyricism and improvisational creativity, and double bassist Darcy Miranda, a rhythmic pillar with a deep and warm sound.

The quintet celebrates the creative freedom, harmonic complexity, and rhythmic power characteristic of this musical universe through moments of intense interaction, collective improvisation, and dynamic contrasts. The concert promises an immersive and sensory experience, where virtuosity and audacity meet—an evening dedicated to the inventiveness and transformative energy of Brazilian music in resonance with the Paris jazz scene.
