Jazz à Semur – 6th Edition
July 2–4, 2026 – Semur-en-Auxois (Côte-d’Or, France)

A vibrant, rooted and diverse jazz festival

In summer 2026, Semur-en-Auxois will host a new edition of Jazz à Semur, a festival now recognized for its artistic standards and its intimate, human-scale atmosphere. The event asserts a distinctive identity: a program that brings together established jazz figures and artists from the contemporary scene, set within a remarkable heritage environment that encourages closeness between performers and audiences.

Organized by the JAS (Jazz à Semur) association, the festival promotes a vision of jazz as a living, constantly evolving music, attentive to diverse artistic paths and aesthetics. The presence of women and men musicians is a strong axis of the artistic project, reflecting a concrete commitment to a more inclusive scene.

Each evening features several concerts in a warm atmosphere, with food and drinks available on site. The deliberately limited audience capacity encourages attentive listening and genuine encounters with the artists. Jazz à Semur advocates an open approach to jazz: a space where traditions, contemporary explorations and the power of live performance meet.

Jazz à Semur stands for a demanding yet generous program, a welcoming spirit, and evenings designed to foster dialogue between generations, influences and musical curiosity.

2026 Line-up

Thursday, July 2 – Pay-what-you-can evening

CRR Dijon - Concert by students from the Professional Training Cycle of the Dijon Regional Conservatory.

Klo&Ange - Inspired by the new British jazz scene, Klo&Ange combine machines, synthesizers, voice and groove in pieces where improvisation, nu-jazz and soul interact with electronic textures, creating a sound that is both powerful and refined.

Ninanda - Formed by Nina Gat, Ananda Brandão, Mathieu Scala and Maxime Boyer—four musicians from today’s French jazz scene—Ninanda develops a multilingual repertoire (Portuguese, Hebrew, French and English), shaping a cross-cultural jazz with folk and poetic influences.

Friday, July 3

Philippe Soirat 4tet - A respected figure of French jazz, Philippe Soirat brings together a close-knit quartet performing original compositions alongside reinterpretations of masters such as Wayne Shorter and Miles Davis. The group stands out for its collective finesse, attentive interplay and strong on-stage dialogue.

Andy Emler Trio E.T.E - For more than twenty-five years, the E.T.E trio has developed a singular language blending experimental jazz, improvisation and pop influences. Each piece becomes a sonic playground, shaped by contrasting atmospheres and great expressive freedom, in music that is both demanding and playful.

Ludivine Issambourg 6tet - Flutist Ludivine Issambourg explores jazz-funk through a repertoire combining original works and covers, rich in groove and nuance. Surrounded by a rhythm section and horns, she unfolds an original energy nourished by multiple influences. Between heritage and modernity, her project asserts a vibrant and contemporary sound.

Saturday, July 4

EMDAM -  Concert by students of the Auxois Morvan School of Music and Dance.

Andy Emler – Organ solo - Andy Emler takes over the organ of the Semur-en-Auxois collegiate church in a concert combining improvisations and original works. At the crossroads of jazz, classical and experimental music, he connects influences ranging from Bach to Ravel, from Miles Davis to The Police, as well as Stravinsky and Peter Gabriel, creating powerful and unexpected sound worlds.

Yumi Ito 4tet - Swiss-Polish-Japanese artist Yumi Ito crosses the boundaries of jazz, art-pop and contemporary music. Inspired by Ella Fitzgerald, Radiohead and Joni Mitchell, she creates sensitive and introspective soundscapes guided by refined writing.

Emile Londonien - Emerging from the Strasbourg scene and the Omezis collective, Emile Londonien blends jazz, broken beat, house and hip-hop. Influenced by the recent UK scene, the trio develops a modern and inventive jazz, balancing improvisation with danceable rhythms. The group stands out as a bold voice of the new generation of French jazz.
