| Creation, jazz
When four exceptional musicians come together around the same vision of musical freedom, the alchemy is immediate. The quartet formed by Jean-Michel Pilc (piano), Gaël Horellou (saxophone), Thomas Bramerie (double bass), and Thomas Galliano (drums) is a laboratory of energy, intensity, and pure interaction.
Exploring a jazz that is both instinctive and refined, this group draws from a wide repertoire, between original compositions and daring reinterpretations of the jazz repertoire. Improvisation is at the heart of their approach: each concert becomes a unique experience, a safety net-free conversation where spontaneity guides the music.
Jean-Michel Pilc, a pianist with overflowing inventiveness, finds in Gaël Horellou an ideal playing partner, whose powerful and lyrical breath interacts with a formidable rhythm section formed by Thomas Bramerie, an essential pillar of the jazz scene, and Thomas Galliano, a drummer with subtle and impactful groove.
Together, they push the boundaries of the classic quartet to offer a lively, intense, and full of surprises music.
A musical journey where swing, audacity, and emotion meet at every moment.
