Following the adventure of Eric Seva's "Nomades sonores" quartet in the 2010s, the two soloists decided to extend their shared experience by exploring an intimate and completely new formula: the trombone/baritone saxophone duo, a blend of sounds that emits a woody, deep, and powerful vibration...
The repertoire draws from a common imaginary folklore, intertwining multiple popular music styles from the 20th century and especially from around the world.
Between Piazzolla and Grappelli, Brazil or musette waltz, the two acrobats achieve a real tour de force: always staying upright, without a safety net or support, like two tightrope walkers.
A constant risk-taking that does not prevent them from expressing their sensitivity and a lyricalism of a true melodist, on the edge.
Eric Séva is one of the great saxophonists on the French scene since the 1990s. A long-time member of Didier Lockwood's group, a musician for Chris Rea or the National Jazz Orchestra, he has been developing a solo career since 2005, recording 7 albums that have been unanimously praised by critics.
As a trombonist for Claude Nougaro, Manu Dibango, Tony Allen, co-leader with Thomas De Pourquery of a quintet for 17 years, founder of a trio with Vincent Peirani, Daniel Zimmermann has been nominated several times for the Victoires du Jazz for his albums as a leader.
