Zangbeto

Zangbeto means “night hunters.” Their mission? To watch over the inhabitants by chasing away nocturnal spirits.

These three young Togolese musicians met in 2021 and have been combining jazz and traditional Togolese rhythms ever since. The trio quickly teamed up with other musicians, including French trumpeter Félicien Bouchot (Bigre!, Keystone Big Band), to create a vibrant, organic, and danceable musical universe. Their energy is embodied in their debut album, Exo, which they will be performing live tonight.
