Adrien Soleiman — saxophonist, producer, and musical director — created Contrebande.s to offer free monthly jazz evenings at Le Relais de Belleville, a local everyday gathering place. As part of a community-driven approach, he curates an open and emerging program that goes beyond the boundaries of jazz, aiming to reach a broad audience.

Each evening is recorded on magnetic tape using a Revox tape recorder, turning every concert into a unique moment in which artists and audience experience the recording together. In this way, everyone becomes part of the archive. The concerts are then released on Bandcamp, allowing both those who attended and those who could not be there to feel this shared experience.

Each performance is also enhanced by visual curation, with a guest photographer and videographer invited to capture their singular perspective on the event. Every evening thus becomes a memorable visual and sonic experience, offering spectators a unique взгляд on the music and the moment.
