[Jazz+Jam] Juliette Renarde Quartet / Open Duo
Melodies for My Sisters
Since #MeToo, feminist songs have regained their place—and for good reason: they are essential. They offer women a powerful vehicle for empowerment, a space to express themselves and support one another. From Anne Sylvestre to Beyoncé, from Alicia Keys to Angèle, music is full of gems exploring themes of feminism: politics, money, violence, relationships, family, abortion, activism… It is in this spirit that the talented flutist-singer Juliette Renard invites you to a moment of poetry and musical power.
Blending original compositions with tributes to the great classics of feminist song and to engaged literature, “Melodies for My Sisters” is a breath of fresh air. The quartet takes you on an unforgettable artistic experience celebrating music and feminisms with brilliance.
Opening act: Luu & Lilia
Two young singers, instrumentalists, and composers present their original songs and their musical universe, both committed and poetic.
