In this brand new transcontinental collaboration, Swiss drummer Florian Arbenz joins the sensational Cuban brothers Vistel (saxophone and trumpet), pianist and brother Michael Arbenz, and Swiss-Australian bassist Rafael Jerjen to launch "Convergence".

Florian Arbenz first met the Vistel brothers while studying in Havana almost 25 years ago. They were brought together again by renowned saxophonist Greg Osby, who has performed with them both.

The musicians of "Convergence" manage to create a captivating ensemble sound, fully dedicated to the project's own aesthetic, without losing any of their spontaneity or the strength of their musical personalities.
Despite demanding themes and complex forms that had to be mastered for this project, the music retains a very playful, almost festive character.

Such is the exciting spirit of "Convergence," offering 21st-century music grounded in knowledge, virtuosity, groove, and pleasure — all while asserting a deep respect for its roots.
