"Music is my mother and my father; it is my work and my rest... my blood... my compass... my love." - Jeff Buckley
Nearly 30 years after his tragic drowning at only 30 years old, Jeff Buckley remains one of the most poetic and elusive figures in rock. Gifted with a voice capable of lifting an entire room, with a guitarist's touch that is both virtuosic and intimate, and with lyrics that felt like a secret correspondence, Buckley left behind a legacy that far surpasses the brevity of his career. Although he only completed one studio album in his lifetime - the monumental "Grace" - his covers of other artists have become equally iconic, transforming songs by Leonard Cohen, Nina Simone, or even Johnny Cash into something undeniably his own: raw, luminous, and deeply personal.
Australian singer Melissa Lesnie and guitarist Vincent Fabert pay a gentle and respectful tribute to this unforgettable "dream brother." They revisit the emotional landscape of "Grace," as well as unfinished songs, while retracing the fragile myth of an artist who seemed to shine even brighter as he disappeared too soon.
