For his first carte blanche, Maxime Sanchez proposes a new trio around the music of Georges Gershwin, a famous American composer and pianist known for blending classical music and jazz.
Maxime Sanchez started playing the piano at the age of 4 in SEOUL (South Korea). He discovered jazz in the Toulouse region and entered the Marciac college (with adjusted schedules). In 2006, he moved to Paris and two years later joined the jazz class at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris (CNSMDP).
In Paris, he has been involved in various musical experiences.
Among the significant projects in his career as a sideman, his work with François Jeanneau at the Pandemonium, the group of Magik Malik "Jazz Association," the group of the Belgian saxophonist Toine Thys "Orlando," and his collaboration with David Enhco (Keyston Big Band, 4tet with Maitrises, etc.).
And his heart projects as a leader or co-leader: FLASH PIG, KEPLER, and his new Trio "Standards." In 2025, FLASH PIG received the French Record Award 2024, a great recognition for this project that is particularly close to his heart.
In 2018, Maxime revealed himself to the jazz world by becoming one of the very few European musicians to have his name listed in the famous Thelonious Monk Competition, where he finished third.
Étienne Renard: double bass
Maxime Sanchez: piano
