Mounam Sings Nina Simone

Accompanied by Sandrine Marchetti (piano), Fanny Bouteiller (double bass), Zaza Desiderio (drums), Sandra Mounam borrows from and honors the music of Nina Simone. She breathes her soul into it to (re)introduce the repertoire of this great timeless vocal jazz artist, who was a pianist, singer, composer, but also a fervent activist for the civil rights of African Americans. A superb opening for our new season.
