| Jazz, compositions
Drummer of rare finesse and musicality, Fabrice Moreau (who has been heard alongside Marc Copland, Michel Portal, Stéphane Kerecki, Airelle Besson, Jean-Philippe Viret) has made the choreographic grace of his instrumental talents the very foundation of his gesture as a composer, among the most original in contemporary jazz. Engaged for seven years in an intense collaboration, both human and artistic, with Ricardo Izquierdo on tenor saxophone, Nelson Veras on guitar, Jozef Dumoulin on piano, and Mátyás Szandai on double bass, Fabrice Moreau acknowledged the passing of the latter and chose not to replace him within the orchestra, continuing the adventure as a quartet. For the evening's program, Fabrice Moreau will unveil his new compositions. While we unmistakably find the characteristics that have made the drummer's reputation—virtuosity and minimalism—we rediscover his talent as a composer in a lyrical and singular music.
Ricardo Izquierdo: tenor saxophone
Nelson Veras: guitar
Jozef Dumoulin: piano / synth bass
