Dornbusch / Moglia – New York Quartet

Saxophonist Phillip Dornbusch and trombonist Gaspard Moglia met while studying in New York, where they continue to pursue their artistic careers today. Their meeting gave rise to a musical collaboration that is as natural as it is passionate. Together, they founded a quartet with a unique sound, blending the energy of contemporary jazz, the boldness of original compositions, and a daring exploration of melody. Their sound draws on the legacy of modern jazz while exploring uncharted sonic territories. To complete their chemistry, they have gathered exceptional musicians around them: Quinton Cain, a Brooklyn-based drummer, and Gabriel Sauzay, a Parisian double bassist.

Their repertoire is primarily drawn from the original compositions of the two leaders, immersing us in an experience where every note resonates like a story in its own right.
