Miss Dominique Tribute To Aretha Franklin
« Today I Sing The Blues »
Miss Dominique TIBUTE TO THE QUEEN Aretha FRANKLIN
“Today I Sing The Blues”
After Jennifer HUDSON in the musical “Respect”,
it is now Miss Dominique in the role of Aretha FRANKLIN.
Jennifer Hudson is currently a judge on "American Idol.
" The show "American Idol in France," broadcast on M6, is what made Miss Dominique famous.
She was a finalist against Christophe Willem in 2006, judged by Marianne James.
After a gold record, a Victoire de la Musique award, and a SACEM prize,
along with two more albums, musical studies, and three children,
Miss Dominique is now competing in her brand new show, "TODAY I SING THE BLUES,"
against none other than "the Queen of Soul," Aretha Franklin.
Accompanied by her pianist, Miss Dominique delivers a raw and unadorned vocal performance of songs
featuring collaborations with the greatest masters of soul music, such as Sam Cooke,
Mike Davis, Smokey Robinson, James Brown, George Michael, Keith Richards,
Stevie Wonder, Elton John, The Blues Brothers, and The Beatles.
After her successful shows with Whitney Houston, Tina Turner, and James Brown,
Miss Dominique captivated our homes one evening.
We all cried to "Calling You" from the film Bagdad Café.
Come and experience that emotion again today and rediscover, 20 years later,
this artist who continues to write the story of a fighting woman with her public...
