Étienne Mbappé has formed his own band, The Prophets—a group of musicians centered around the magical bass sounds of Mr. Groove (the nickname given to Étienne Mbappé by his admirers) . The ensemble, composed of talented musicians from diverse backgrounds, offers a unique blend of jazz, funk, rock, and African music.

Étienne Mbappé has developed a distinctive bass sound over the years that is instantly recognizable. He employs a variety of techniques, including slap, tapping, and fingerstyle playing, to create a diverse and varied sonic palette.
