Nicola Sergio

An established artist, supported by Sunside for over 15 years since the release of his debut album, Nicola Sergio will be performing a solo piano recital as part of the Pianissimo 2026 festival. A jazz pianist and composer inspired by classical music, his music blends the elegance of classical piano with the expressiveness and improvisation of jazz, creating a refined and melodic style. His distinctive touch combines lyricism, sophisticated harmonies and evocative atmospheres. He will present an intimate and nuanced repertoire, alternating between his finest compositions and arrangements of iconic standards (Thelonious Monk, Bill Evans). This concert will also offer an exclusive opportunity to hear excerpts from his upcoming project, dedicated to arrangements of major works from the classical repertoire, ranging from Johann Sebastian Bach to Béla Bartók, via Claude Debussy and other great composers.
