A percussionist and composer, Isaías transforms every stage into a laboratory where jazz meets tradition. Drawing inspiration from the spellbinding rhythms of Maranhão, he has distilled this energy into a universal language: that of improvisation.
On stage, he doesn’t just play music—he converses with it. His drums converse with the brass, his silences respond to the solos, and every note becomes an invitation to exchange. Inspired by the giants of the Northeast (Hermeto Pascoal, Naná Vasconcelos), he builds a bridge between swing and Brazilian groove, where tradition is no longer a framework but a springboard to the unexpected.
