Idrîs-Félix Bahri & Friends Ft. Álvaro Del Valle

It all began on stage at Jazz in Marciac. That’s where Idrîs-Félix Bahri and Álvaro del Valle first met, eight years ago. Through a series of collaborations and encounters between France and Spain, the quintet naturally took shape around them.

Tonight, William “Willux” Guyard on tenor saxophone, Issa Souriant on piano and keyboards, and Curtis Efoua Ela on drums join them to present a repertoire ranging from original compositions to reinterpretations of standards.

Leading the ensemble are, on one side, guitarist Álvaro del Valle, who blends avant-garde jazz with electronic elements, and on the other, bassist Idrîs-Félix Bahri, who anchors the whole with a powerful, organic energy.
