Performance, the elegance of her phrasing, and her deeply expressive voice. Hailed by international critics - "Flawless" (Downbeat), "Mesmerizing" (JazzTimes), "White Hot Creation" (All About Jazz) - she has established herself as one of the unique voices of contemporary jazz.
Her albums "Drive" (2015), "Dream A Little Dream" (2017), "Break Up With The Sound" (2019), and "Two Moons" (2023) have received significant airplay on American and international jazz radios. Blending bebop tradition, more experimental sonic explorations, and sensitive reinterpretations of pop ballads, Michelle Lordi develops a refined and intensely inhabited musical universe.
She has performed in numerous clubs, festivals, and prestigious venues in the United States and Europe, including Birdland, Smalls Jazz Club, SMOKE Jazz & Supper Club, and Le Duc des Lombards.
Nominated in 2019 in three categories of the Hot House New York City Readers Jazz Awards (Best Band, Rising Star, and Female Jazz Vocalist), she has collaborated with many major figures of contemporary jazz such as Orrin Evans, Greg Osby, Buster Williams, and Rudresh Mahanthappa.
