Jazz & Goutte D’or
Concert Jazz manouche
Two generations, two instruments, one shared conversation.
This Friday, jazz returns to the Taproom. We’re delighted to welcome Lior Krief on guitar and Jean-Paul Adam on saxophone for an evening where the traditions of Gypsy jazz meet the energy of bebop.
For Lior, music is a family story. The son of guitarist Serge Krief, he knew every Django Reinhardt solo by the age of 12 and has since developed a distinctive style of his own, blending Gypsy swing with bebop freedom. After releasing his first album with his brother in 2020, he has performed across Europe and the United States, building an impressive musical journey.
Jean-Paul represents Parisian saxophone at its finest. Trained at the CIM jazz school and a participant in masterclasses with Lee Konitz, he has shared the stage with a remarkable range of musicians and now teaches at the Bobigny Conservatory. His guiding principle is simple: never let yourself be confined to a single style.
Together, they bring Django’s guitar and Charlie Parker’s spirit into conversation. A rare musical chemistry to enjoy with a pint in hand.
