Poets Of Forest

This is, in a way, the best of Caribbean jazz: drummer Arnaud Dolmen, bassist Michel Alibo—co-founder of the group Sixun—and horn player Jowee Omicil. Their roots lie in Guadeloupe, Martinique, and Haiti.

A top-tier trio whose members have each wandered through the jazz scene, joined by guest harpist Sophye Soliveau. Here they come together on a raw yet lyrical album, in the image of nature whose virtues and mysteries they celebrate, featuring compositions by Arnaud Dolmen.
